How Tatari Celebrates Pride Month and Every Month

How Tatari Celebrates Pride Month, Every Month

Pride Month is a time to recognize the strength, diversity, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community, while reflecting on the importance of building spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to be themselves.

At Tatari, that commitment is reflected in the people who make up our community and the moments we create together. Earlier this month, and back by popular demand, we hosted a company-wide Drag Bingo and Trivia Party with the fabulous Schwa de Vivre. The virtual event  brought Tatarians together across all our offices to laugh, celebrate, and show up for our LGBTQIA+ community.

Even though Pride Month may be coming to a close, our dedication to creating an inclusive workplace doesn’t stop here. Thank you, Tatarians, for making this a place where everyone feels supported and seen!

Below are some examples of how Tatari’s leaders celebrate Pride!

Raissa Nebie - SVP, Finance

I used to be a DJ and still dabble here and there. I support my LBGTQIA+ DJ friends by attending their pride events!

Andrew Cunningham - Director, Services

Spending time with family! My sister's theater company put on a production of The Laramie Project this month near my hometown, and it brought us all together for an evening. Heavy, powerful message that helps bring Pride Month into full focus.

Greg Schwartz - General Counsel

I’m traveling so can’t join the parade this year. But both of my kids are gay so in my family we celebrate pride everyday.

Muller Luo - SVP, People

For me, Pride isn’t an occasional celebration. Both of my boyfriend's children belong to this community, so being present for their joy and their struggles is simply part of my life. Supporting the people close to me—and the organizations that have their backs—is something I genuinely care about.

Wei Chen - Data Scientist, Distinguished

Being part of this community means Pride is a constant presence in my life. It’s woven into the quiet moments of making a living, the joy of raising a family, and the deep gratitude I feel for the circle of friends and family we support and lean on every day.

Sam Joachim - Senior Director, Services

Pride is a beautiful time as love comes in all shapes and sizes, and regardless of preference, love is always worth celebrating for me at any time. Love is all you need.

Reno Brown - Director, Engineering

For me, celebrating Pride means intentionally supporting Portland's vibrant LGBTQIA+ community year-round. I love frequenting  the fantastic businesses, bakeries, coffee shops, and establishments owned by this community that make our city feel like home.

Thuy-Van Watts - Director, Data Science

I celebrate Pride by staying close with friends who matter, talking openly with my 10-year-old about love and inclusion, and supporting however I can — financially, emotionally, and with my appetite for pride donuts!
